About the Business
Current regulations require that any electrical system should be constructed, maintained and used in such a manner as to prevent danger. In consequence, the inspection and testing of all systems (including Portable Appliance Systems ) is required.
This is anyone who is deemed to have the responsibility or 'control' of an electrical system. They are responsible for a range of distribution systems, be they 400 kV or simply those within buildings, down to the smallest piece of electrical equipment such as a hairdryer, fan, radio or VDU. Duty Holders or those responsible, have a legal obligation as may be necessary to prevent danger and all systems shall be maintained so as to prevent, so far as is reasonably practicable, such danger.
