Electrical Rewiring

Electrical Rewiring

To make sure that your present system adheres to all contractual and legal requirements and obligations, Manchester Electrical Services Ltd offers partial or complete electrical rewiring in Manchester within our comprehensive range of electrical services. Poorly wired properties are unsafe and can pose possible fire hazards, therefore it is vital to ensure your current electrical installation is fitted and working properly.

Why do I need to Rewire?

If a property hasn’t been rewired in the last 15 years or so, there’s a chance that the majority of the current wiring will need upgrading in order to comply with current standards.

If you’re considering significant refurbishments that constitute a material alteration as defined in Part 2 of The Building Regulations 20102010, there’s a strong possibility of needing a replacement consumer unit (fuse box) along with substantial, if not full, rewiring.

Extensions and conversions constitute new work and will need to, therefore, meet the Part P: Electrical Safety guidelines entirely. To make sure that cross bonding and earthing requirements are met and also that the extra load produced by the new work is managed safely, all existing wiring must be brought up to standard.
